We’ll be fund-raising for The Air Ambulance Service
Over the past 20 years, The Air Ambulance Service has attended over 50,000 missions. One exemplary mission this week (23 March 2024) saw the G-NICU crew in Oxford work alongside their clinical partner team to transfer a patient to hospital in just 47 minutes – a journey that would have taken 2 hours and 6 minutes by road – and may otherwise have had a very different outcome.
Evergreens UK Group have nominated The Air Ambulance Service as their 2024 Charity Partner. The Charity does not receive National Lottery funding and relies on these voluntary contributions to complete its vital missions across 17 counties. As well as a welcomed donation, the brand teams across the Group – LazyLawn, ArtificialGrass.com and EverRoof – will be participating in a number of the Charity’s own fundraising initiatives throughout 2024. They have also pledged to fundraise in-house throughout the year with sponsored events already being planned.
The first of these official Air Ambulance Charity Fundraisers is the Leicestershire Firewalk on 7th November, where Andy Driver and Lynn Hunter from the Evergreens team will walk on 800 degree burning embers, in the dark – all under expert supervision, of course. Each Air Ambulance mission costs around £3,500 and with over 4000 of these missions called every year, Evergreens UK Group is keen to support the Charity in every way they can.
